2018 Dinner Dance - Saturday 1 September

South of Perth Yacht Club

We danced the night away to the fabulous music of Catherine Fraser on Fiddle and Kyle Wait on Piano.  Finding time in between to enjoy dinner and much camaraderie.  Thanks to the organisers and the Branch for another very successful evening with everyone looking splendid in their "glad rags".   Photos.

2018 AGM 42nd and Special Resolution

On Friday 29 June the  revised Constitution was approved together with the nominations for committee. 

November 2017 4-week Technique class

Following the success of the 4-week Technique class held in August, John Brenchley held another 4-week session in November at Melville Uniting Church Hall.

Sunday 3 September 2017 - Lunch - Zamia Cafe King's Park

Feet grateful for a rest, we finished off the weekend with a lunch in the beautiful setting of King's Park and the Zamia Cafe.  The musicians, with their punishing schedule - arrived Perth, Saturday lunchtime from Brisbane and Sydney - departed mid PM on Sunday - no time to acclimatise to any time change.  Their visit and music was much appreciated by all.

Sunday 3 September 2017 - Special dance class - Palms Community Centre Subiaco

What?  Miss another opportunity to dance to the music of Iain Mckenzie and Emma Nixon?!  John Brenchley chose dances from Books 50 and 51.    The sun was shining and the coolness of the morning soon disappeared once we started moving.  Not forgetting the homemade morning tea.

Saturday 2 September 2017 - Dinner Dance - South of Perth Yacht Club

The scene was set.  The chandeliers glittering.  The tables pristine.  The musicians warming up.  The dancers in their finery.  How could it not be a wonderful night of great music and dances?  Many thanks to all the organisers and contributors.  Photos.
